“COME OUT OF THE KITCHEN”.

1 NEXT WEEK’S ATTRACTION. The public is reminded that the box ! plan for the Palmerston North Operatic Society's comedy “Come out of the Kitchen” opens at the Central Booking i Office at 10 o'clock this morning. It is to be expected that those who have so , generously supported the society in the past will show .their appreciation of the , endeavour of the society to stage dramatic as well as operatic attractions by according the comedy full houses on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next. The final rehearsals have made it evident that the production will be ■ highly creditable and the talented • caste has spared mo effort to ensure : this. The roles of the two sisters, Olivia , and Elizabeth, could not be in better hands than those of Miss Ulu Hancock ■ and Miss Phil May and their acting as i the pseudo-servants is superb. As Buri ton Crane, Mr. M. H. Oram gives a splendid characterisation of the wealthy | bachelor tenant and he is ably support- ! ed by Mr. J. W. Davidson, as Crane’s i attorney, Sblon Tucker. Miss AV. Bcott as Mrs. Falkener, Crane’s sister and guest, has made a most successful study of this part. As the daughter Cora > Falkener, Miss G. Bryden will make her ; debut, and her acting is sure of a flat--1 tering reception. Mr. Fred Cousins has been before the public so often that it > may be anticipated that he will fill the 1 role of Paul Daingerliold to perfection, ' and Mr. J. Evans will be equally well suited in the part of the brother 5 Charles Daingerfield. Mr. C. J. Roberts, • as the agent Randolph Weeks, and Mr. ) B. Eising as Thomas Lefferts, a statis- • tical poet, have assigned to them parts which will also materially assist in the 1 success of the comedy, while Mr. G. . Remington, as a black mammy Amanda, . may bo expected to furnish much - humour. i The comedy will be produced under - Mr. Remington’s able direction, and 3 Mr. Fred Cousins will add to his laurr els as regards stage management. Alt' together the production will provide a ] really high-grado entertainment, and Palmerston North is fortunate in having amateurs who are ablo to interpret such an excellent comedy.
