Continued Bad Conditions
An intense depression of the westerly type has been crossing tho Dominion tii-day. An anti-cyclone, covering Australia, is centred near Melbourne. Expect moderate to strong southwesterly winds, reaching gale force in many places. The seas in New Zealand waters will bo rough to heavy, strong southwest winds to gales, with rough seas in the eastern Tasman sea but winds and sea gradually moderating. The weather will bo still unsettled and squally, with rain in most districts and some heavy falls; hail on parts of ■the Coast, and some snow on the highlands. The tempera tores arc becoming cold but improving shortly in westerly districts. Sun (to-day?. Rises, 7.34 a.m.; sets, 4.32 p.m. To-morrow. Rises, 7.34 a.m.; sets, 4.32 p.m. Moon (to-day).
