IN ADDITION TO PRESENT ONE. ME YERNON HARTSHORN IS NAMED AS MINISTER Sun Cable. Received Thursday, 7 p.m. LONDON, June 26. The Sun-Herald’s political correspondent understands that Mr. MacDonald is considering the creation of a now portfolio of Minister of the Dominions, as apart from the existing offico of Minister of Dominions and Colonies. No decision has yet been reached but it may bo stated there is every likelihood of its accomplishment and that Mr. Vernon Hartshorn, now on the Simon Commission, wifi fill tho post. Re is an Imperialist, who is highly regarded in tho Commons. The idea is not new, as the Conservatives had it in mind several years ago but did not put it into operation. The change is considered necessary, because the Dominions’ functions aro largely consultative, while tho Colonial office is increasingly administrative and important in view of Britian’s intention to exploit the colonies for the development of the settlement of migrants.
