Wet Westerlies
Yesterday’s depression is now centred cast of the Chatham Islands hut a secondary one is advancing across the south Tasman. Barometers are rising in eastern Australia. Winds will be moderate to strong, blowing between west and southwest but southerlies later becoming of genoral gale force, are still probable in places. The seas in New Zealand waters will be rough on all the West Coast and rising south of Castle-point after about 24 hours, moderate elsewhere; strong west to southwest winds in the eastern Tasman, reaching gale force at times, with rough seas. The weather is still unsettled in most districts, especially those with a westerly aspect a.nd raj,n in the western districts; mainly fair to fine but with scattered showers in eastern parts, becoming more unsettled on the east coast south of Castlepoint after about 24 hours.
