L’Ere Nouvello voices the opinion that Dr. Stresemann’s pledges to tho Nationalists deprive Franco particularly and Europe generally of their finest chance with great policy of pacification. The Socialists’ leader, M. Leon Blum, writing in tho paper Populairo, urges the speediest evacuation of the Rhine* land with good grace. Any now demand for securing, he says, would be chicanery.
