From Our Own Correspondent, EUCHRE AND DANCE
On Tuesday evening, the regular cuchro and danco party was held in the Kopanc school in aid of tho school funds. Euchre and dancing wore indulged in till 10.30, tho prize winners being Miss J. Thompson and Mr. Jones. The consolation prizes were awarded to Mrs. Ditehall and Mr. Pitt.
iSuppcr was served after which Mr. Boddy took the opportunity of bidding farewell to Mr. and Mrs. J. Busli, who will shortly take up their residence in Halcombo and presented Mrs. Bush with a handsome oak cake stand and a set of stainless knives. On behalf of his wife and himself. Mr. Bush suitably responded The s’ . ing of “For They are Jolly Good Fellows” concluded a pleasant evening. The next euchre and dance is to be held on Julv 10. Personal.
Mrs. J. McKay, of Kopanc, has returned from Wellington, where she bid goodbye to her sister, who is going to Ceylon. Mrs. Morris, of Hastings, is visiting her son, Sir. S. H. Morris, of Kopanc. Mrs. H. Marshall, of Kopanc, is visiting friends in Hamilton.
