Cabled advice has beon received by the general manager of the National Bank of New Zealand that the-Met profit for thq year ended March 31 iast, after providing for bad and doubtful debts and after paying a bonus to the staff, amounted to £290,582, which with the £165,572 brought forward from the previous year, leaves available for distribution £456,154. This it is proposed to allocate a 3 follows: In payment of a dividend at the rate of 12 per cent, and a bonus of 2 per cent, per annum £280,000, to premises account £IO,OOO, to pension fund £II.OOO. balance to be carried forward £155,154. The dividend and bonus are at tho same rate as last year.
