Poplar Counsel
Stalwart, steadfast stalks of verdure, Pointing to the utter summit, _ Lifting hearts and cleansing visions Straight and fearless sylven stamens, Baise mo upward in like posture, Rectify and sober thinking! Penetrate my heart with breezes! Let the sun bleach me from tincture That has stained my course while growing! May the stars illume and destine; Mountains shelter aspirations; Sterling bid me stand a soldier! In a silent multitude, You resist the sparse and temporal; Yours tho fight for changeless heaven; You defend sincere foundations.
