STONE SOUVENIRS OF WESTMINISTER PALACE

KEEN PUBLIC DEMAND. (British Official Wireless.) Received Sunday, 7 p.m. RUGBY, May 25. It is announced that in order to give the public an opportunity of acquiring stone removed from the House of Parliament in the course of repairs now in progress, the Commissioners of Works propose to dispose of the stone. Already good business has been done in the selling of old ornamental stonework to members of Parliament. Since the sale to members of Parliament was announced last August, there has been a good demand for gargoyles, cupolas and portions of the towers.
