ORATORIO “ST. PAUL”
It is proposed to produce, the oratorio “St. Paul’’ in the near future. “St. Paul’’ has not been given in Palmerston North for a great number oj. years. Ranking next to “Elijah”
in Mendelssohn’s works, it is a great favourite with cboralists and public alike. Remembering the wonderful success which attended the production of the “Messiah” sonic five years ago under similar circumstances to the present, when a choir of over one hundred and twenty performers took part, it is hoped that members of choirs and chorallsts generally will acept the invitation and help to form as big a choir as there was on that occasion. The first rehearsal will be hold in the Kosy Hall on Monday evening next which will be under the direction of Mr. J. Holmes Run nicies the s uccessful producer of the many oratorios which have been given in this town in recent years.
