ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL

CLUB FORMED IN FEILDING.

A meeting was held in the Oddfellows’ hall, Peildin.g, last night to fur ther consider forming an Association football team.

Mr J. C. Young, chairman of the Manawatu Pootbail Association, was in the chair, and there were also present from Palmerston North Messrs Jenkineon, Allen, Marshall, and a largo attendance of those interested locally. It was unanimously decided to foVm a Feilding club, and the following officers were elected: President, Mr E. Pair; vice-presidents, Messrs Carthew, Wilkinson ,MeCorkindale; committee, Messrs Hearn (chairman), Hunt, Brooke, and Marsden; secretary, W. Law; treasurer, Mr W. Hunt.

The colours will be yellow and blackjerseys. v

The first match takes place on Saturday at 8 p.m., on the Peilding racecourse, when the Feilding club will bo ipatched with St. Andrew's, one of Palmerston’s leading teams.
