DISTRICT NURSING GUILD
MONTHLY MEETING. At the monthly meeting of the District Nursing Guild yesterday, in the absence of Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P. (president), Mrs. Lionel Abraham occupied the chair. Other members present were Mesdames Aitchison (secretary), Spooner, Coles, Misses Nairn and Cunningbame. Apologies woro read from Mesdames Trask, Morgan and Gill. The report' from the District Nurse (Miss Alexander) stated that 235 visits had been paid to 29 patients, seven patients had been discharged, four sent to hospital, and two had died. There were 18 new patients and l(i were carried forward. Mr. Woods' weighing machine had realised 7s lOd, the library subscription box 3s lOd, police station 4s 9§d.
Donations of clothing were gratefully acknowledge from Mesdames Mowlom, Pitcairn, McGregor, Thwaites, Dodder, Argyle, Elliot, Dawson, Mr. Merton fl.h(l anonymous friends, and mattress, book's,' push-chair, toys, from Mrs. McGregor, bedstead from Mrs. Clegg, and anonymous donations of fruit, and vegetables. Twelve families had been given help during the month.
It was decided to hold the annual collection day on Tuesday, June 20.
