OBITUARY
MR. WILLIAM FERGUSSON. A wide circle of friends in the Halcombe and Feilding districts will learn with regret of the sudden passing of Mr. William Fergusson, a very well known and highly respected settler of tho Halcombe district almost since the days when it was first founded under the auspices of tho Colonists and Emigrants Aid Co-operation. On Saturday morning, the late Mr. Fergusson was out on his farm assisting with some fencing work when ho collapsed and soon after passed away as the result of heart failure. Always an active man and one who had enjoyed good health, the late Mr. Fergusson was a frequent visitor to Feilding and rarely missed the weekly sale. Ho was in town on Friday last, fit and well, and his passiifg comes as a shock to those who knew him as one of the early settlers of the district. He leaves a grown up family, most of whom reside in tho Halcombe district. The funeral will tako jffacc this afternoon at the Halcombe cemetery.
