GOVERNMENT JOBS FOR AUCKLAND’S WORKLESS
500 MEN TO BE PLACED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 19. The Hon. P. A. de la Pcrelle, after conferring with tho local members of Parliament, agreed to telegraph to the Minister of Public Work 3 urging him to provide work for at least 500 unemployed in country districts. Mr. do la Pcrelle said that it was hoped that; the men would be started in employment almost immediately.
