Dull and Unsettled
A cyclone is apparently developing west of the Auckland Peninsula. An intense anti-cyclone extends from the southern extremity of the Dominion towards Sydney. The prevailing winds will be south to oast generally, backing to north-east north of Kawiria and East Cape; moderate mainly but freshening and later reaching gale force in places. Thei seas will bo moderate generally but rising on the east coast and north of Farewell Spit; in the Tasman Sea, south-east- to northerly winds in the north-east Tasman and southerlies elsewhere, becoming fresh to strong, with rising seas. The weather will continue dull and unsettled, with general rain and some heavy falls, especially in the central provinces; cool temperatures, with snow on the highlands of- the South Island. / Sun (to-day). Rises, 6.32 a.m.; sets, 5.28 p.m. To-morrcrw. Rises, 6.33 a.m.; sets, 5.26 p.m. Moon (to-day). Rises, 12.44 p.m.; sets, 9.12 p.m. Xo-monow. Rises, 1.44 p.m.; sets, 10.21 p.m.
