Mrs W. G. Keeling has gone to Wellington. ' Miss Lexie MacDonald is at present in Wellington. Mrs Watt, of Hamilton, is staying with Mrs Thomson. Mrs. H. J. Ferguson, of Hdhiilton, is at present in Palmerston North. Miss O. Brewer, of To Kuiti, is the guest of Mrs. E. Brewer, Feilding. Mrs C. J. Monro is at present in Botorua recuperating after her recent illness. Mrs Anderson, of Christchurch, is the guest of Mrs H. Gifford Moore, of Batt street. Mrs C. H. Lawrence, of Christchurch, is the guest of her mother, Mrs Gifford Moore. . Miss Nola Bryant, of Manakau, is at present in a private hospital in Palmerston North. Mrs E. G. Sim and Miss C. E. Warburton have returned from a short holiday at Paraparaumu beach. Mr and Mrs J.-H. Stevens, who have been making an extensive tour of the Taranaki province, returned to Palmerston North to-day. Miss Valerie Corliss, L.E.A.M., of Wellington, has received an intimation from the Royal Academy of Music, London, that it has conferred upon her the honour of an associateship. Feeling reference to the death of Miss A. S. Dale, of the teaching staff of College street school, was made at last night’s meeting of householders at College street. As ‘a mark of respect to her memory, the meeting stood in silence. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. On Wednesday, April 10, at the residence of Mrs A. J. Hunt, Ferguson street, the members of All Saints’ choir gave a kitchen tea to Miss Blockley who is shortly to be married. A very pleasant evening was spent with games, competitions and musical items. After the guest of the evening had received a splendid collection of useful presents, a dainty supper was served and a most enjoyable evening was brought to a close. Miss Blockley is one of the oldest members of the choir, rendering it many years’ service, and it is pleasing to know she will still remain after her marriage. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Sutherland, Mr. and Mrs. Hunt, Mr. and Mrs. Couper, Mesdames Russell, Jamieson,.
