At the Stadium Johnny Leckie (8.11$) beat Billy Grime (9.0) in the fourteenth round. The New Zealander was the faster and cleverer and his hurricane-like blows reached Grime from all directions whenever the latter came up from his oM-time crouch. A right to tho jaw sent Grime down for nine. Ho got up but was immediately floored. Ho got to- his feet again at the count of six only to be dropped once more. The police then intervened, as the exchampion was badly battered.
