KETCH AGROUND
Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. The auxiliary ketch Aratapu, 125 tons, went ashore at the entrance to the Waitara river on Saturday and is still fast apparently on a mu'd bottom. On Friday night the vessel en route from Westport for Waitara with coal called at New Plymouth to shelter from tho blustering weather. On Saturday she resumed her voyage and went aground while endeavouring to enter the river port with the high tides. She is rocking badly, but at present it is not seriously feared she will bo damaged while she remains in her present position although it is possible she may not bo refloated until next spring tide. Attempts so far have been uncuccessfuL
