BIBLE CLASS YOUNG MEN IN CAMP

baptist UNION. Over 100 young men of the Baptist Bible classes of the Wellington district are at present in camp on the Hokowliitu rifle range reserve and arc cn joying to the full their stay in Palmerston North under canvas. . On Saturday evening, the camp concert was held, the large audience being augmented by the attendance of a number of visitors from tho Palmerston North Church. Rev. F. A. Crawsliaw directed the programme and the performers gave a most enjoyable and amusing programme, w-hich largely featured topical references to members of the camp. Sunday morning’s heavy wind made things a" little unpleasant, several tents bciug loosened by the gale, but the warm sunshine later in the day enabled everything to be made shipshape once again and restored all to a cheerful humour. Yesterday’s services were in keeping with the Easter season and by special invitation, tho campers attended the Palmerston North church services in the morning, when the Rev. Crawshaw took as liis theme, “The Soul’s Awakening.” The evening service was taken by the Rev. E. W. Batts (Lyall Bay). Bible study circles and prayer meetings have been held every morning and have proved very helpful under thedirection of Mr. M. A. Tremewan. Union Annual Meeting. The annual meeting of the Wellington district Baptist Young Men’s Bible Class Union was held during the camp, the ejection of officers resulting: President, Mr. A. Eldridge (Pctone); vice-presidents, Messrs. G. Thompson (P.N.), and G. Scott (Berhampore); secretary, Mr. H. H. Harris (Berhamporc); treasurer, Mr. B.
