THE TIVOLI
BIG DOUBLE BILL. Many of the scenes in Monte Blue’s “Pretty Ladies/’ featuring Zazu Pitts, Norma Shearer and an all-star cast, aro filmed in natural colours, a novelty that this company is exploiting with excellent results. The beauty of the interior scenes taken by this method is haunting and unforgettable, giving the picture an exquisite charm. Ia many ways tho film is a distinct novelty, deftly touched with the deep human interest, the comedy and romance of life that add so much to tho worth of any production. Zazu Pitts gives a truly remarkable portrayal of a love-hungry woman to whom wealth means nothing without someone to sharo it with. It probes deeply into the human heart and its complexities. Seldom can a man resist the call of adventure and tho man of the moment in the new release, “Adventure Mad/’ which will be shown at the Tivoli Theatre to-night, is no exception to this rule. Finding life growing just a little monotonous with a devoted wife, he seizes upon tho first chance of adventure which comes his way. Little knowing that tho chance has been invented by a gang of crooks, he eagerly follows up every thread that might unravel the mystery, and incidentally finds himself in peril of losing his life.
