JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS NOT WANTED IN SOUTH
“GIVE NEW SYLLABUS FAIR TRIAL.” Per Press Association. TEMARU. Last Night. The president of the South Island Federation of School Committees’ associations (Mr. W. Gibb, Timaru) today despatched tho following telegram to tho Canterbury and Otago Edueation boards: “Tho South Island Federation of School Committees strongly > urges your board to protest against any interference with the primary schools system until the new syllabus has been tried out. There is much feeling against the junior high schools. The Federation contends that the primary staff should have an opportunity to prove that the now curriculum will successfully bridge the gap between the old system and tho secondary schools.”
