Halcombe.
ANNUAL FOOTBALL CLUB MEETING. The annual meeting of the Halcombc club was held on Tuesday evening, a largo number attending. The President (Mr. W. S. Page) presided over the meeting. The balance sheet, showed a credit of £2 10s. lid. over and above the season’s operation. Messrs. Tetomo, W. Kane, and Corbett attended the meeting as delegates from the Tokorangi Club, with a view of amalgamating with the Halcombc Club. It was moved by Mr. D. Managh, and seconded by Mr. W. Faulding that the Tokorangi Club amalgamate with the Halcombc Club, which resolution was carried. The election of officers for the coming season resulted in the following:—Patron, Mr. H. Selectors for senior team, Mr. A. Hutton, the secretary, and president; selectors for junior team. Mr. B. Wishnowsky. captain, and vice-captain; selector for thirds, Mr. G. J. Caiman, captain, and vice-captain. Members subscriptions, senior team 57junior 3/-, thirds 2/-. Mr. Caiman reported progress regarding investigations re lighting the grounds for tho purpose of nightly practices. Mr. Caiman was empowered to carrv na and make final arrangements ' for same. Tt wns decided to plnv under the name of . tho Halcombe Football Club.” Mr E. L. Christian, kindly donated a gold medal for tho senior team for competition. An anonymous donor also donated a gold medal to the club, the gift being left in the bands of the committee to deal with. Mr. L. Anderson, kindlv donated a trophy, for competition in tho “Thirds,” team. The uniform chosen for the season will comprise, white jersey, dark shorts.
