THE TIVOLI
Norman Kerry and Claire Windsor arc the co-stars of “The Claw,” adapted from the famous novel by Cynthia. Stockley. The African veldt, that vast and practically unexplored plane of the Bark Continent, with its barbarisms, its buried billions and its lurking perils—is the locale of the principal part of the story w'hieh begins in England bn a. wealthy country estate. For those who like romance at its height interwoven with thrills and potent drama, “Tho Claw” should prove ono of the most entertaining pictures of the year. Human love flares red in the still seductive nights on tho veldt. An English beauty, infatuhted with a swarthy major who is married allows herself to bo disgraced in the eyes of society rather than give up the romantic officer. ’ In “The Skyrider” right from the opening of the picture tho spectator is treated to a thrill, a runaway motorcar and its occupants rescued ‘from certain death by the liazarduous but successful attempt of an aviator to fly his ’plane low enough to allow him to lower a ladder and so transfer tho careering car’s occupants to tho ’plane. There is to bo a mystery picture on Monday entitled “Adventure Mad.” There is a matinee to-day at 2.30 p.m.
