During February there was one admission and one discharge from the Old People's Home. The number of inmates is now 50, nine of whom are women.
Tlie Dominion 'Maori tennis tournament is proceeding successfully at Hamilton. J. Davis (North Auckland) yesterday defeated V. Wohipeihana (Manawatu) in the final of the junior championship. Mr. G. N. Goldie, of the New Zealand association, in addressing the crowd said ho considered these the best junior players in New Zealand and that they had a great future.
On Sunday evening next, the choir of St. Peter’s Church will sing J. H. Maunder’s Cantata “Olivet to Calvary.” The soloists will be Mrs H. L. McGregor, Miss Edith Coles and Messrs A. R. McKegg and A. Robotham. Congregational hymn singing will be started twenty minutes before the service.
