AT AWAPUNI
Top coats and waterproofs were the order of tho day at Awapuni yesterday, and specially purchased tace models remained in their tissue folds at home. The inclement weather saddened many hearts that were set on wearing their newest of new autumn importations. Browns of all shades, and navy blue were tho favoured colours, close fitting folt hats looking characteristically smart and chic, and coloured parasols added colour on the drab day. Consolation however was partly found in tho beautifully kept sido walks and garden paths, which i were literally abounding with colour.
