At tho Addington market there was another exceptionally heavy entry of store sheep of over 35,000 head, substantial drafts of ewes coming from the North Island as well as the Chathams and Nelson. Fat lambs: 2220 were penned and & free sale at schedulo prices. Extra prime lambs to 32s lOd, prime 28s 6d to 31s 6d, medium lambs 26s to 28s, light, 23s 6d to 25s Cd. . Fat sheep: An average penning or about 20 races and last woek’s values were maintained until tho final stages when an advance of Is 6d per head took place. Extra prime heavy wethers to 35s 10d, prime wethers 30s 6d to 33s 6d, medium wethers 27s 6d to 30s, light wethers 25s to 27s 3d, extra prime ewes to 34s Id, prime ewes 25s to 29s 6d, medium ewes 21s 6d to 245, light ewes 18s to 21s ,aged ewes 13s to 17s. Fat cattle: 480 head were yarded, good steers forming a small proportion. For these the market was better by 253 a head, other classes showing minor improvement. Bueoners wero easier and porkers dearer, due to the near approach of the holiday. Choppers 50s to £5 12s, light baconers £3 to £3 7s 6d, heavy baconers £3 15s to £4, extra heavy baconers to £4 7tf 6d, average prico per lb. 51d to 6d.; porkers 42s to 50, heavier porker® 52s 6d to 58s 6d, average prico per lb. 7Jd to Bd. Store pigs. A small entry mostly; weaners and small stores. Prices receded on late rates. Weaners 5s to Bs, stores 9s to 17s, largo to 23s and extra to 203.
