Mr. Cecil Hilton, in the Commons. complained that while the Lancashire cotton mills were working short time a contract for two ■million pairs of bootlaces for the navy was placed with a foreign firm, but every tag was stamped "Made in england.’’ In the course of the same debate Commander Eenwortliy complained that the Navy was mostly fed on Argentine meat. "I demand British meat for British tars. The Bulldog breed “Should be fed on British bullocks.’’
