CABLE STEAMER IN HURRICANE WIND
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 19. Tho cable steamer Iris was hove to for 12 hours off East Cape yesterday, the wind blowing with hurricane force. Tremendous seas broke aboard. No damage was done though tho officers say that the waves were the highest they have ever seen.
