DOG DRAGS SNAKE FROM BOY
LAD UNABLE TO MOVE. NEWCASTLE, March 12. With a large black snake coiled round his legs and its fangs buried in his thigh, Norman Knowles, a boy of eleven, stood terrified in the bush, un-
able to move. A friend's dog rushed to his assistance, grabbed the snake by the tail and pulled it away. The dog had just previously kilted several snakes. The boy’s condition is not serious.
