DID CLOSING OF MINES CONSTITUTE LOCKOUT?
N.S.W. COAL STOPPAGE. SYDNEY, March 12. It is rumoured at Canberra that the Federal Attorney-General, Afr Latham, contemplates the prosecution of colliery owners for causing a lock-out of miners Official confirmation is lacking, but inquiries have been made into the allegation.-; by minors that a lockout occurred. Six coal-carrying steamers will be laid up during the week in Sydney as the result of the strike.
