TIRITEA SCHOOL PICNIC

SPORTS AND PRIZE-GIVING. The Tim.ea school picnic was held on Friday under ideal conditions at the Ballunce bridge and was a complete success. The beautiful native bush provided welcome shade for the many parents and friends who were present. Games and races were indulged in, while free ice cream, fruit and drinks found a welcome with the children. Luncheon and afternoon tea were provided by the committee assisted by a ladies’ committee. During the afternoon the school prizes were presented by Mr. Stallard, one of the oldest settlers of the district. Prize-List. The following was the prize-list:— Std. 6: W. Woifsbauer 1, F. Davies 2.
