COUNTRY’S BUOYANT FINANCES. OTTAWA, Mar. 1. For the fiscal year ending March 31, Canada has a net surplus of 69,782,000 dollars, the Hou. J. A. Robb announced in presenting his budget to Parliament. The net debt had also been reduced 70,000,000 dollars and there was a favourable trade balance of 154,000,000 dollars for the ten months of the fiscal year. Ho stated 42 per cent, of the total expenditures could bo attributed to war obligations.
