Rongotea.
From Our Own Correspondent, Personal, Mr; G. Thompson, of Auckland, has been visiting his sister, Mrs. E. J. Arnott. Mrs. Hobbs and her daughters have returned from Foxton beach, where they have been spending a short vacation. Miss G. White, of Hastings, has returned home after being the guest of Mrs. M. H. White. Sister D. Hobbs, who has been visiting her parents, has returned to New Plymouth, where she .is to recommence her duties.
District Outings. The Women's Institute held an enjoyable picnic at the Oroua river on Wednesday last, there being a large attendance of members and friends, good weather conditions making the afternoon a pleasant one. A very pleasant afternoon was spent at Tangimoana on Wednesday,, when the Oddfellows' Lodge held its annual picnic. Thanks arc due to the donors of the trophies and sweets;, also to the ladies for the manner in which they arranged for the afternoon tea and luncheon.
The lodge is still making excellent progress. Nine new members are awaiting initiation. Eesults of the races were:— Boys' race, 4 and- under: C.
