Rongotea.

TOWN BOARD MEETING. The monthly meeting of tho Rongotea Town Board was held on Monday evening. Those present were Messrs. D. J. Teaz (acting chairman), T. Fraser, E. J. Arnott, and C. & Wood (secretary). Apologies were received from L. H. Yarrall and A. Trenkner. A letter from the postmaster, Kongotea was received, advising tho board that the clock had been moved to "ts original position. He intimated that if it was the board’s desire that the clock be placed in the porch window of the office, it would have to bear half the expenses of moving which was estimated at about £5. The board decided to advise the Post and Telegraph department that it was satisfied with the present position and provided that it was lit up each evening, here would be no more complaints. Accounts amounting to £3O/15/8 were passed for payment.

Commissioner Teaz drew the board’s attention to the fact that tho residents were complaining about the town horses being allowed to wander on the streets after sunset.
