Expect moderate to strong west to south-west winds, of gale force at places in and south oC Cook Strait. The seas will be rather rough south of Cape Egmont and offshore south of Castlepoint, elsewhere moderate; moderate to strong southwesterly winds and moderate to rather rough seas in the Eastern Tasman Sea; some scattered showers, chiefly coastal, in the western districts and also later south from Castlepoint, otherwise the weather will be fair to flue, with cool temperatures.
