Mr. M. J. Eadc, who has resigned the position of secretary to tho Feild ing Swimming club, was presented on Saturday by tho committee with a iountaiu pen in recognition of his services. Mr. Eade loft yesterday for Auckland, where he will enter college, with, ibe intention of becoming a missionary in India. Mr. F. Kendall, of Feilding, leaves to-day for Wanganui for the purpose of attending the Bands competitions. The Feilding Municipal Band left Feilding yesterdey to take part in the competitions in Wanganui this week. Mr. T. Collins accompanies the band as manager.

The secretaryship of the Feilding branch of the S.P.C.A. has been taken over by Mrs. A. E. McAlpine. Mr. H. Mclntyre will represent the Feilding S.P.C.A. at the conference to be held in Wanganui this week.
