ANNUAL REPORT. The annual meeting of tho Feilding Golf club is io be held on Wednesday, March 6. The following is the annual report:—

The season was opened on April 14 and closed on November 24, when all prizes won during tho season were presented.

The club championship was won by L. Gorton, L. J. Carmine being runnerup.

The junior championship was won by D. Pryde Jnr., E. 0.. Hamilton being runner-up.

The membership of the club increased materially during the year an’d now stands as follows:—67 men; 4 junior; 4 junior under 18 and 1 non-playing. 114 ladies and 9 non-plaving.

The balance sheet discloses a sound position. The income and expense account, after providing for extensive river protection works, repayment of the second mortgage of £25 and debentures to the value of £IOO, shows a surplus of £29 13s 7d. During the year, the first mortgage matured and a fresh mortgage of £I6OO has been arranged at a satisfactory rate. The thanks of the club are due to the ladies for the excellent afternoon tea and luncheon arrangements and Messrs W .E. Carthew, John Graham, Dr. Phillips, Dr. Salmond, S. A. Parkes and L. Gorton for donation of trophies. For their efforts in connection with the Golf club ball, which resulted in a profit of £55, the club wishes to place on record its appreciation and thanks to all the members of the ladies’ committee. Mr. A. H. Maguire, the club auditor, is available for re-election.
