WATER FOR GARDENS

RESTRICTION IN EEILDING. Residents living on the higher levels of Feilding are experiencing a shortage of water, duo to the unrestricted use of tho garden hose by residents on tho lower levels. There is plenty of water available for all requirements but when hoses are freely used ,the pressure to tho hill disappears and causes serious inconveniences.

•While the present dry spell continues, the borough council has decided to restrict the use of hoses on the lower level of the residential area and confine such use to between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. In order to give effect to this decision ,the borough inspector and his assistants are making a house to house inspection of water taps.
