A late London cable records the death of Major Sir Henry Barnston, Conservative member of Eddisbury. Shortly before 10 o’clock last evening the firo brigade was called out b\ an alarm from the premises of Messrs Pegden and Co. in the Square. An incipient outbreak caused by the fusing of an electric wire wes quickly quelled.
