STUD ROMNEYS SELL WELL AT MASTERTON
TOP PRICE 150 GUINEAS. BEST WAIEARAPA MARKET IN YEARS. Per Press Association. MASTERTON, Last Night.
Good prices were realised for stud Romney rams at the annual ram fair of the Masterton A. and P. society to-day, thero being a large attendance of buyers. Flock Romney rams met with the best market for years under keen competition. The highest price of the sale for studs was 150 guineas for a ram sold on account of Q. Donald, of Featherston, tho purchaser being TV. H. Buick and Son, Masterton. » * Another good price was obtained for a ram sold on account of A. P. Southey of Mastertcn which fetched 120 guineas, being purchased by Dalgety and Co. This vondor’s three rama made a satisfactory average of 73 guineas. Six offered for Q. Donald averaged 59 guineas. Prices for flock Romneys ranged up to 20 guineas. The sale will be continued to-day, when flock stud Southdowns, flock stud Lincolns and flock Corriedalos will b» offered.
