Novar Scores. The Hopelands Hurdles Handicap was reduced to a one dividend race, in which Novar was installed a firm favourite in a pool of £843. Mandarine, Red Bank and Novar were first out, for Red Bank to lead past the stands from Mandarine, First Prince, Novar and Panorama. Along the back, Novar went up to second berth, while Panorama was content to tail the field. The last-named moved up on the bend and entered the straight with Red Bank and Novar. The Sarto gelding was too good for Panorama in the race to the post by a head; Red Bank was five lengths further back, then came Mandarine and First Prince last. Novice Plate to Lady Spear.

The Mothplane-Roy Reed combination was the public fancy in the novice event, for which the 15 acceptors paraded. Snowshoe, Kiriana and Kinross were the next in demand. After some Selay, Lady Spear led Snowshoe, Mothplanc, Lucretia, Tenure and Austerity from the getaway. Across the top, Lady Spear held her position from, the other place fillers, Snowshoe and Mothplane, with Austerity, Valpine and Imperial Fame conspicuous. The order held into the straight, except that Mothplane had displaced Snowshoe in the second berth. The favourite failed in the duel for first money by a head, Snowshoe being a good three lengths further back, then came Tunbridge, Kiriana, Lucretia, Imperial Famo and Warzone.

Imperial Spark a Favourite. Punters’ judgment was right when they mado Imperial Spark favourite in the Autumn Handicap. Royal Lineage carried £SO less than the winner. From an even dispatch, Royal Liuengo led Nucleus, Imperial Spark, Comical and Kilmezzo past tho stands. Positions remained unaltered till the half-mile, where Comical was up second. On the bend, Comical headed Royal Lineage, with Imperial Spark just ahead of Kilmezzo and Nucleus. Comical dropped out after leading Royal Lineage and Imperial Spark into the straight. With heads turned for home, .K. Voitre brought Imperial Spark al -ng to win by half a length from Royal Lineage. Nucleus, three lengths behind the second horse, took third money. Kilmezzo and Comical finished ahead of Lady Limond. Foxton Trainer Succeeds.

Lucky Bag was popular in the Hack five, carrying £lO6 more than Inflame in a £2OOO odd pool. Water Jtpear's chances were esteemed highly. Tapestry, the winner, carried ISO tickets. Bernera delayed tho barrier rise for some time and was slow to ge away. Tapestry was first to break the starting line, showing the way to Miss Gowrie, Lucky Bag, Inflame and Water Spear. Turning for tho straight, Lucky Bag gave his supporters confidence, heading Tapestry, Miss Gowrie, Inflame. Money Mint, Water Spear and Second Thought. Tapestry came again and won a thrilling raco to the judge by a neck from the favourite, which succeeded in stalling oil a challenge from Marica for third money, the Arrowsmith mare having come from the tail with a great burst of speed. Water Spear was fourth, then came Inflame, Second Thought, Bernera and Money Mint.

Punters were doubtful in the Telegraph Handicap, in which Commendation carried £7SS, more than half of a small pool. Roy Reed was smartly out with Ridgemount at the barrier rise and was never headed. Once settled

down, the order after the leader was Lady Ideal, Miss Pat, Merry .Mint and the favourite last. Across the top. Merry Mint was chasing UUlgviixium. followed by Lady Ideal, Cumiuendation and Miss Pat. Commendation was reducing his leeway all the time and was up to third on the bend. Once in line for home, Merry Mint dropped out to leave Commendation and Miss Pat to chase the leader. Commendation could do no better than get within two lengths of Ridgemount. The Foxton trained mare was two lengths further back. Lady Ideal headed -Merry Mint, ten lengths behind the placed horses. Coon Song in Tune. My Own was as popular for the two-year-old event as he was on the first day of the meeting, but the Awapum trained Coon Song upheld the confidence placed in lain by about a third of the tote investors. The winner led the field from tho barrier, having Crash, the favourite, and Symballo as his nearest attendants. Tho pricings around the bend into the straight were tho same, the leaders having established a gap from Symballo and Tigrano, with Lady Day last. Coon Song finished on to win by two lengths, while My Own and Crash disputed second money in a neck and neck struggle up the straight for the public’s first fancy to take second money by a head. Symballo was fourth. Judge Sees High Court.

Full Mark, with T. Green up, was made a go(*i thing in the Kumeraoa Handicap. Billion, Balloon and High Court received support in that order. Break o’ Day, which paid a sensational second dividend, showed 18 tickets on tho machine. Birkbeck, Monetize, Full Mark, High Court, Break o’ Day and Delude were in the van passing tho bird-cage. Break o’ Day improved on the bend while Wilmoreana shifted up with the leading six, while Red Fuchsia moved up very fast to get on terms with Birkbeck, Full Mark, Monetize, High Court and Delude at the halfmile post. Across the top, Birkbeck, High Court, Full Mark and Red Fuchsia raped together, with Break o' Day doing no harm. The winner, High Court, showed Birkbeck, Full Mark and Break o’ Day the way into the straight. Break o’ Day had High Court bustled to get home by a neck, with the favourite a length away, third. Aurora Borealis led the alsos homo, followed by Monetize, Billion and Delude.

Callanmore Comes Home. Those after a recovery locked to Maui, Tho Swell and Queen's Choice in the last event of tho meeting. Cailanmore, however, upset their calculations and paid near the small limit, while those who backed the favourite were very little enriched. All acceptors went to the post and when the field got away, Willow Wai showed out from Borsalene, The Swell, Tanagra, Callanmore, Queen’s Choice, Bonogno and Maui. Along the back straight, Tanagra moved up and lead round the bend, with Callanmore lying fifth. Callanmore and Maui had Tanagra, Queen’s Choice and Willow Wai to account for when tho straight proper was entered. This they did in no uncertain manner and a thrilling finish saw Trainer Hatch’s charge get the verdict by a neck. Rowley, which came from nowhero, put in a great run to take third money a length behind Maui, then came Queen’s Choice, Borsalene, The Swell and Tanagra.
