Mr and Mrs. Darcy Ball, of Foxton ■liave returned from an enjoyable holiday spent in Rotorua. Miss Emdlie MacAulay, of Palmerston North, is the guest of friends at Taihape. Miss E. MaeLennan, Palmerston North, is at present at Havelock North. Miss M. Galloway, of Palmerston North, is spending a holiday at Mangaweka, Mrs. H. R. Cooper, Palmerston North and Mrs. J. P. Mcßae, Kai Iwi, are staying at Paekakuriki. Mrs. Shelly, of Palmerston North, who with her mother, Mrs. B. Prothero, of Ashburton, has been the guest of Mrs. W. N. Smart, of Havelock North, returned home on -Wednesday. The death occurred on Tuesday of Oiwyen Grace Easton, the 12-year old daughter of Mr and Mrs W. J. Easton of Poroutawhao, after a short illness, reports our Foxton correspondent. It appears that the little girl had pan tnken of some tinned fish last week end had later complained of not feeling well. Medical assistance was obtained Iran Vt* all e#oi«* wet* unavailing and the little aufifarnr paaned quietly away on Tuesday afternoon. The funeral took piece rt JVnrton cemetery yeatwday afternoon, the ceremony being conducted by the Rev. W. H. Walton, vicar of All Saint's, Foxton. The heartfelt sympathy of a large circle of friends is extended to the sorrowing parents.
