TO-DAY’S RECIPE
BANANA COOKIES,
Ingredients: Quarter of a pound of flour, one ounce of cornflour, one ounce of caster sugar, two ounces of butter, one large banana, one ounce of ground almonds. Mix the flour and cornflour, add a little salt, rub in the butter, add the almonds and sugar. Skin the banana and beat it to a soft pulp. Add this to the other ingredients and knead to a dough. 801 l out rather thickly on a floured board. Out into rounds, and bake in a moderate oven on well-greased tins.
