Police Commissioner W. B. Mcllvenoy and Inspector Rawle were passengers to Auckland by tho Limited last ovexing. Mr Justice Hcrdman will act as chairman of tho Prisons Board during the absence of Mr Justice Reed in EngLand.
A Geneva message states that Lord Jellieoc’s daughter Norah sustained a broken thigh in a winter sports accident at Wengen, Switzerland. It is understood that Mr. Eilson, U.S.A., will receive tho 1928 award of the Harmon trophy from tho International league of Aviators for his Arctic flight.
