BUSH FIRE DESTROYS N.S. WALES HOMESTEAD
300 SHEEP BURNED. Australian Press Association . Received Sunday, 7.0 p.m. SYDNEY, Jan. 20. A. bush fire at Crookwell yesterday destroyed 300 sheep, the woolshcd and homestead of Mr. J. Seery.

MILES OF FIRE BREAKS MADE. • • SYDNEY, Jan. 19. Tlie Barrallicr bush iircs are still raging. Many homesteads have narrowly escaped destruction. The fi#e fighters have burnt many miles of fire breaks and if these hold; the’position will be fairly safe, otherwise the whole district will bo threatened.
Many stations have been burnt out, and thousands'of ■ sheep are starving. A huge fire' is 'sweeping toward Goulburn and heavy damago has been done in the Albury district.
