Thirty-three mi'ddlo-agcd men, survivors of nine Antarctic expeditions between IS9B and 1922, dined togethor at the Cafe Royal. They included a dozen who served, in the Terra Nova expedition in .1910-13, when Captain Scott an'd four others rcacliod the Pole and perished in a blizzard, only a day’s journey from safety. The dinner inaugurated tho Antarctic Dinner club, which has been formed to revive old associations-and kocp green the memory of those five who reached their objective and others who lost their lives in the Antarctic.
