KAIAPOI TRAGEDY. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 18. At. Pinos Beach, Kaiapoi, last night, • Stanley Rinaldi was drowned. He was bathing witfi. his fiancee, Miss R. Richards, when they both got into difficulties in the surf. Miss Richards was able to reach shallow water, but Mr. , Rinaldi, who was a good swimmer, wan carried out and disappeared. The body has not yet been recovered. Mr. Rinaldi was employed in the Public Trust office at Christchurch.
