POSTAL PACKET THAT WAS NEVER POSTED
YOUNG MAN IN TROUBLE. Per Pross Association. DUNEDIN, Last Night. A young man, whose name was suppressed in the meantime, was charged at the City Police Court to-day before Mr. H. M. Bundle, S.M., with fraudulently stating that he had posted' a postal packet containing postal notes and stamps to the valuo of 13s at the Clinton post oflSco on October 13, whereas ho did not do so. Mr. C. J. L. White, who appeared for accused, said he was not conversant with the facts and asked' for an adjournment. “He made a voluntary statement and surrendered himsolf to tho Post and Telegraph Department,”- stated Detec-tive-Sergeant Nuttall. An adjournment till Monday was granted,
