POLICE RAID AT HANMER SPRINGS
ALLEGED SLY-GROG SHOP. ■ Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. A party of police from Christchurch made a raid on an alleged sly-groy shop at Hanmer Springs on Saturday and socured a good haul. Since the destruction by fire of the Jollic’s Pass Hotel, the district h&s been “dry,” the Lands Department having declined to rehew tho lease of the section on which the property formerly stood.
