The friends of Mrs. Bain, matron of All Saints’ Children’s Home, Foxton, will regret to hear that she is at present in a private hospital.

Miss Doris Haggitt, of Hastings, is the guest of her parents, Mr and Mrs. G. E. Haggitt, of Palmerston North for the tennis tournament.

The engagement has been announced of Miss Claire Dickinson ,of Palmerston North, to Roy Millen, Bank of New Zealand, Ohura.

Mrs. Pacey, Miss Jean Pacey, and Mrs. Laurenson, of Palmerston North, leave to-day for Wellington, where they join the Rotorua ©n route for England.

Mrs. and Miss Joseph are Wellington visitors to Palmerston North, and are the guests of Mrs. F. J. Nathan.

Mrs. T. R. Hodder, of Palmerston North, have returned home from a visit to Welllington.

Mrs. H. C. Marsh, Pahiatua, has returned home from a holiday visit to Kaiapoi.

Mrs. J. P. Andrews, Fendalton, Christchurch, is spending a holiday in Palmerston North.

Mrs. W. Hildebrant has returned to Napier from a holiday visit to Palmerston North.

Mrs Bayly, and Miss Marea Bayly, who have been visiting Masterton, have returned to Feilding.

Mrs. N. F. Hooper is staying with her mother, Mrs. Boon, 28 Taonui Stret, Palmerston North.

Miss Richardson, who has been on the staff of the Sundon post office for some years, has been transferred to Wanganui.

Miss B. Campbell is an Auckland visitor to Palmerston North.
